Colors in web design. Which is the best one?

Colors palette

Do you want to create attractive and modern website? Do not you know which color is "must to have"?
Well, I'll try to help you.
There are a great number of beautiful colors. Fortunately different people have different tastes. Therefore you should choose universal color for your website. Choosing colors you have to take into account many factors.

Have you heard that the first impression of your site is formed by a user during the first nine seconds of visiting? It is important to make sure that color scheme of website site design is in accordance with the content and audience of web site. You must take into consideration not only age and interests but also, so to say, localization of your visitors. For example, we associate white with innocence and purity, and it is color of sorrow in India.

Here are some main points that you have to take into account:

1. Colors show your mood and personality.
Colors express your purposes, objects, and personality of your website.

2. Colors correspondence
Colors of a site and logo should complement each other and be in one palette.

3. The color palette should conform to content of a site.

Content on this site and colors should harmonize well. Have you ever seen black colored toys store or motley government official site?

4. Combinations of different colors.

One color is certainly great, but to create home page you need at least two different colors. And here we have some difficulties: not each pair of colors looks well. Important: don't overdo. Three different colors is the best problem solution. I advice you to visit this website colorcombos.com where you will find a lot of useful info about colors. Notice, that white, grey and black are universal color shemes.

5. Colors and  associations.

If you create design for a site for water sports, it is better to use blue and sea green. If you make a gardening site, try shades of green and earth tones. If you create an information or news portal, use a simple, very limited colors palette, which has no particular significance.

6. Less colors - better result.

Confine yourself to two or three main colors. Limiting colors, you will get smaller size of file, faster loading and the most important - more readable and attractive website which will unconditionally lead to greater success.
